The basics

What is ShapeTrack, exactly?

A body progress tracker. Once a week you take three photos — front, side, back — in about two minutes. ShapeTrack turns them into a body map (waist, hips, chest, thigh, weight, and a body-fat estimate), then shows your trends, a Then & Now comparison, a transformation reel, and an AI coach that answers from your actual data.

Do I need a scale, a wearable, or a password?

No to all three. Scans work from photos alone — you can log your weight if you want it on the chart. Your account lives on your device: no password, no profile. An optional email can be linked in Settings if you want your progress recoverable on a new phone.

Is ShapeTrack free?

Your first scan analysis is free, and your photos and full history are free forever — Pro unlocks new analyses, never your past.

ShapeTrack Pro ($39.99/year, 7-day free trial) adds unlimited coach analyses, the transformation reel, and deep trend views.

Is it a medical device?

No. ShapeTrack is a motivational tool. All body-composition figures are estimates that ship with honest ranges, projections are labeled illustrative, and nothing in the app diagnoses anything or replaces a qualified professional’s judgment. The app is for adults 18+.

Scans & accuracy

How does a scan work?

You take three photos — front, side, and back — and the app analyzes them into your measurements. The “Match pose” overlay shows your last scan as a guide, so your angles line up week over week.

How accurate are the measurements?

They are estimates, and they ship with confidence ranges — never false precision. What makes them useful is consistency: the same pose, light, and clothing each week. The only comparison ShapeTrack makes is you versus your own Day 1.

What should I wear for a scan?

Even light, fitted clothing, and the same three angles each time. Stand relaxed, arms at your sides, about two meters from the camera. Consistency matters more than perfection.

How often should I scan?

Weekly is the rhythm ShapeTrack is designed around. Body change is slow enough that daily scans mostly measure noise; a week apart, differences start to mean something.

Why do my numbers fluctuate day to day?

Daily weight and water shifts are noise, not change — and water retention in the luteal phase of your cycle is real. ShapeTrack’s charts put your cycle context next to the trends, so a lumpy week doesn’t read as a setback. The trend line is the signal; any single day is not.

Privacy & photos

Who can see my photos?

Only you. Progress photos are served through authenticated, token-signed requests — never from public, guessable, or indexed URLs. Nothing about your body is ever shared with other users.

Are my photos used to train AI models?

Scan photos and anonymized measurements (no name, no email) are sent to OpenAI to produce your analysis and coach replies. Under OpenAI’s API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their models.

What about the daily photos in my log?

Optional daily photos you take in the log screen never leave your phone.

Do you show ads or sell my data?

No ads, no data selling, no third-party trackers. The optional community leaderboard shows one thing only — consistency, weeks of showing up — and only if you join it yourself.

Pro & billing

What does Pro include?

Unlimited coach analyses, the transformation reel, and deep trend views — $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial. The free tier includes your first scan analysis, photo logs, your full history, and Then & Now sharing. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed with your App Store account.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel in your App Store subscription settings — you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. For refunds, use Apple’s reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple approves refunds directly.

Pro isn’t showing after a new phone or reinstall. What now?

Open the You tab, tap the ShapeTrack Pro card, then “Restore purchase”. If it still doesn’t show, reach us through the contact options on our App Store page.

What happens to my photos and history if I cancel?

Nothing. They are yours, free forever. Cancelling Pro only returns new analyses to the free tier’s limits — your past never locks.

Your data & account

How do I delete my photos — or everything?

“Delete all photos” (You tab → Account) removes every progress photo from our servers; your measurements and history stay.

“Delete account” (You tab → Account) removes everything — photos, measurements, logs, coach history, and the account itself. It cannot be undone.

I got a new phone. How do I keep my progress?

Your account lives on your device, so be ready for move day: link an email in Settings (You tab → Account) and your progress is recoverable. Pro follows your Apple ID — “Restore purchase” brings it back.

How do I contact you?

Through the contact options on our App Store page, or our Support page — we usually reply within two business days.
